Catching up

Sooooooo!! The last time I wrote was in October!! It has been a busy couple of months. We had an amazing halloween. John was a Jedi and Eli was his Yoda! I make Johns costume every year. And for the past three years he has won best costume at his work! Whoot! Whoot! It is a competition in my head! I make it my mission to make John look good! Then we went trick or treating at the zoo. It was awesome! Eli was Nemo and was adoreable. I think I will hopefully go again next year!
Then came Thanksgiving, Eli and I went to Tulsa to see Thomas' family. We had a pretty good time. I liked the idea of Eli meeting all his cousins. And he has ALOT! There were at least twenty kids there! He didnt even get to meet them all. Plus, the food was amazing! Fry bread and corn soup for Thanksgiving, you cant go wrong there! Its Thanksgiving NDN style! I loved it, and enjoyed my time with everyone.
Now, we are almost past Christimas, and I'm realizing time flies! Eli can now walk, has his first tooth, and is completely amazing! Things have been a little difficult up until now. I have been taking care of John and Eli while my mom and sister were away, going to school, and everything else! I finally gave Thomas the boot and have not regretted that decesion one bit! It's the best thing I could have done for myself! I'm a much happier person and I will be a much happier mommy! Now, he and I are trying to figure out where to go from here. Last weekend was the first time we had to do drop off! It competed for the second hardest day of my life. After I dropped off Eli, I drove to the mall and sat in the parking lot and cried! I didnt know how hard it would be to drop off my little guy. But, with time I know things will get easier.
Tomorrow is Elis first Christmas, and I have all his toys and stocking ready for the big day! Its going to be strange without my mom here, but, next year will be awesome!
This Christmas I'm so greatful to have John, and Jenny supporting Eli and I! I'm increibly greatful for Eli and all the happiness he has brought to me the last nine months! God knew I needed him in my life! I'm looking forward to the all the wonderful experiences and people the new year is going to bring! Merry Christmas!
